Don't like them ...........
I for one, do not have kind words for them. Do not under any circumstance email them questions unless you want your email spammed like crazy. Also, I discovered that I'd been automatically placed on several mailing lists shortly after contacting them about a watch. Never again !! I don't give a damn how badly I want the watch. I'll go elsewhere. just my .02

I can imagine that Jeff himself is no longer directly involved in the Ebay listings . Not that this is an excuse . Pretty sure he will have this removed as soon he gets notified of this . A simple PM should do it .

Odd, but we had more people emailing us to warn about this thread than the entire thread had responses! Thanks to those who sent us private notes!
I just reviewed the auction and the box sure does appear suspect!!! :) We get lots of stuff "over the counter" and buy lots of Rolex collections from many dealers and lots of stuff like this gets "through". I personally emailed the winner of the auction and offered him a discount. Thanks to all who emailed us. If we had gotten notice sooner we would have pulled the auction entirely. As to Mike From Texas, this is VERY interesting. My wife and I are home together today (a rarity since we both travel) and we discussed this at length. She says she (of course) keeps a huge database of buyers and bidders and those who have interest in Rolexes and DOES INDEED contact them on occasion when a Rolex becomes available and up for auction. She showed me what she does and noted that there is ALWAYS an "opt-out" in the email. She also says that not only do most people appreciate the "heads up" but many thank her. Mikeys second issue infuriated her. Not at Mikey necessarily but at the idea that anyone would think that we would sell or share our VERY privately held mailing list. First we abhor people who sell mailing lists. We think it is a GROSS injustice to customers. Anyone who would sell mailing lists of their private customers are shooting themselves in the foot. We have never done it.. EVER. if Mikey can PROVE this, we would find out who in our employ is selling this list and fire him and prosecute him/her if possible. Mikey, your move. Send us a PM with the name you use when sending us email and we would be glad to track this down for you (and for us! your accusation is NOT good!) Jeff |

I have been on several forums in the past, using only one email account for all of the forums. A few years ago I was a member of a model train forum, I received spam from time to time associated with model trains, I can only explain the source of the spam the forum that I was a member. When I left the forum, the spam slowed down until it stopped. My conclusion was that someone had access to the forum or was part of the forum gaining email accounts from other members. I did not bring it up to the forum as it may cause some kind of rift in the forum with other members becoming standoffish, not sharing or bonding with other members.

Y'all, Please Read This ..............
I need to make something very clear. At no time, on this forum, has Jeff Hess nor his firm ever, ever used the forum or it's member list to send spam ! Nor, do I want anyone to think such. I have explained to Jeff by p/m what happened after I sent an inquiry about a listing on eBay using eBay's "contact the seller" system because I did not check the "hide my email address". Thus as seems to happen at times here, my other post was taken out of context. I should never have said anything here. My fault !

Better question would be, how many gave up on him a long time ago after his antics with some of his dubious ebay listings that were discussed here. Why are you surprised? The other day I saw some of his listings that had boxes that weren't anywhere close to being original for the watch. I missed this fake box, but I normally don't view his listings anymore.

The problem I see with all these listings and posts from Jeff is he is pushing all the blame off on others. Ultimately His name is on the Auction site, so as I see it the blame lies with him. Get control of your operations, stop blaming everyone else!! It's your business, instead of pointing the finger take responsibility for YOUR business !! Remember when you point the finger, there are three pointing back at you.....Just my 2 cents
