Omega Seamaster or Tag Heuer Aquaracer?

Hey TRF, I need some help in deciding on which of these will be my next timepiece. I am considering the Omega Seamaster 2264.50.00. (first choice) This is the quartz version of the Seamaster with the black bezel and dial.

Or

The Tag Heuer Aquaracer automatic WAB2010.BA0804, S/S with the black bezel and dial?

What do you think?

Both are nice, but I prefer the Omega. I would lgo for the automatic Omega for a few hundred dollars more.

I have read on another watch forum that the black bezel, black dial Omega Seamaster is discontinued. Another reason to get the Omega IMO.

Definitely the OMEGA Seamaster. Try out the same watch with the electric BLUE dial and the SS bezel....very nice.

Val, I have no experience with Tag, but the Omega is a rock solid watch.
I love mine! Great looking, extremely comfortable, and crazy accurate.
I think Omega has some of the best lume in the business. From what I understand the reference has been discontinued. The rumor is an updated version may appear at Bazel with applied markers and a co-ax movement. ($$$)

I prefer the painted dial and jumped at the chance.

Both are nice watches.
It's been said before, but if you can put a few hundred more out, go for the Omega. (1st choice)
Otherwise, Go for the TAG.

Thanks for the replies guys, I knew I could count on you. I am definitely going to get the Omega, I will be putting in my order next week. I really love the look and feel of this watch, I can't wait. I will more than likely put a black Nato strap on it as well, just to be different. This will be my second swiss timepiece, I already own a s/s Raymond Weil Tango with the black dial.

Yes Val, Omega is the best - absolutely top quality and v. elegant. I would see if there's an automatic available. Quartz watches often don't hold their value quite as well. But go with what you love! Larry.
