New arrival! Warning extremely sexy patina ahead!
I was gonna wait for my new camera to come in on Monday but just could not wait to share with you guys. I recently purchased my first Tudor When I first got into Rolex I thought Tudor was something I would never have interest in. But after seeing the snowflake sub and doing a little research on Tudor models I realized they are just as fun to collect as Rolex, especially vintage models as the build quality is identical to Rolex, minus the movement of course. Special thanks to the seller and DP for his advice
Well here she is 68' 7016 snowflake, this watch was owned by a navy serviceman hence the engraving on the caseback. Enjoy I borrowed some pics from the seller: Time to find the right NATO Bund strap? |

Looks freakin' great, David. Love that super dome!
You'll have endless strap fun too. The snowflake is something special and combined with that beautiful patina, it'll put a smile on your face every time you wear it. dP

I agree with Dan on the super dome. It looks like it could survive the Marianas Trench. Oh wait! It probably COULD!!!
Great photos of your beautiful Tudor, David!

Cool watch David! Is it the same size as a sub? The case somehow seems larger.

BTW, when I saw the title of this thread, I thought you had picked up THE ONE (DRSD). How goes that search?

I wish! It's been a tough one, when I found one I wanted I didn't have the funds, then when I had the funds I couldn't find one! Now I'm just gonna sit back and hope this can hold me over for a month or two.

Well, it is a beautiful piece and should hold you for a while. As for the DRSD, you'll get it eventually when the time is right. I missed out on several red subs before I found the one I bought and I'm now glad I "missed" those others.

Amazing. Where do you folks find such wonderful vintage pieces? I love the engraving. Makes the watch more special and unique IMO.
