That issue should be confined to the top shelf, away from children and people of a sensitive nature.

The king who had the Tah Mahal designedand built for his favourite wife, was so overcome when he saw the beauty of the end result that he ordered, the architects right thumb, cut off,to keep him from designing similar beauty ... In the case of the YM II they should do the same to the designer, for the opposite reason,to keep him/her from designing similar ugliness.Pathetic design
I'm still waiting for the first TRF member to buy one ... |

IMHO
I honestly think that it's not that bad. At first I was then after really looking at it, I have changed my mind. If you really stare at it and scrutinize the watch, you can see a touch of DNA from the Daytona. But that doesn't mean I'll go out and purchase one. I would rather purchase a Daytona. |

That's probably supposed to be the cover shot for this month's "High Times" magazine.

As Rolex fanatics, we are all suppose to agree that the products that the company is going to produce is top notch (internally and/or externally or both).

To throw my $0.02 in the pot.......everyone wanted Rolex to come out with something new....well they did. The YM II is really something different. Quite unique actually. The Milgauss also.....
But i think really most people wanted revamp's of exsisting models.....ceramic Sub's, etc. Because for the most part I think most members on this forum are sports models fans and the have an affection to their particular models and would like to see something new(with their model only or similiar). Myself included, I bought the new TT GMT II because I love the GMT's. Will I buy a YM II....no way, but then again the YM didnt appeal to me either. Nor the Milgauss but I can appreciate them just the same. I love the vintage series of GMT's, would love to get my hands on a 1675 GMT (year 1965 if anyone has one!!). I think those are classics..... Mikes collection in particular But I am at the same time glad to see the company coming out with new idea's. So if they have upset the 0.0001% of Rolex owner throughout the world here on this forum, I think they will still sell +850000 watches this year and next year...and so on.

Mark my words, that watch will be sold for a few years, then retired... Within a few days of its retirement, collectors will be paying double its list price... Then it will take off and become the new Holy Grail... As this unfolds, we're all going to be kicking ourselves for not buying it and putting it away...
