Buying a 2005 GMT Master II From Reputable Dealer - No Green Sticker?

Hello everyone,

I recently just ordered a 2005 GMT Master II from a pretty reputable used watch dealer. However, I'm concerned because I always thought that the old Rolexes had a green authentication sticker on the back. My new datejust doesn't have one, but as far as I understand Rolex moved away from the hologram sticker only recently?

Should I be concerned here?

No, most sensible people removed that piece of plastic when you get the watch. It is a sticker.

It's the first thing I did when I got my GMT here from one of our trusted dealers. All the left over sticky residue was a pain in the a$% to take off.

There are some photos floating around here showing damage to the caseback from leaving it on a long time.

A little soak in warm water, should let it lift enough to peel. Once pulled, some go-gone or the like to remove any residual leftovers.!

YES you are correct. Rolex no longer does the green hologram on the back of the watch. Not sure when they stopped but it has been a couple years? Someone will Chime in...

If the 2005 is USED then I'd say that there shouldn't be a Hologram on it...that is if the person was normal and removed it!
