At ~1400, I'll Be A Proud Owner
The AD just called -- the LV and new GMT II are in. Just gotta go figure out which to get. Still not sure on if I'll ship it or not, guess we'll see how loudly the watch screams, "Wear me home, bastard!"

Why would a brand new watch hurl abuses at you?

That's just the kinda guy I am...
Well, the deed has been done. I'm now sportin' a new GMT II. Looks pretty good with my tungsten carbide brushed/polished wedding band. Thank you forlks for your help and dealing with my few ignorant questions and remarks. All in all, today's been a good day -- sold a motorcycle and got a Rolex; in the money comes, out the money goes. |

Nicely done! I would have gone with the GMT also.
Maybe because I don't have one. |

Unscew the crown and pull the stem all the way out 'til the second hand stops. Now set your watch to the correct time using the green 24 hr. hand and the outer bezel for reference. Push the stem in one "click"; the second hand starts and you are ready to set the Mercedes hand. Of course my experience is with the now "obsolete" GMT II. For the price, the new ones should come with a remote control. |

As I type this it is 1525 hrs Local, so the 24 hr. hand is on the 15, minute hand is on the 25 min mark, and the Mercedes hour hand is on the 3 (actually between the 3 and4 since it is half past the hour.) If I went to visit you in SC, I would just pull the stem out 2 clicks (first one is for winding) and turn the Mercedes hand forward 3 hours. Since the watch is never actually stopped, the minute and second hands will remain on the exact time. Of course you don't have to......You can track the time in New Zealand if you want to. Can't imagine that though. |

With the amount of watches you must have had from your AD, you would think he would get his 19 year old daughter to hand deliver one to you ! |

Okay folks, I figured it out.
Tools, the last explaination helped out much better. Couldn't figure out why the green hand would not move by itself and was beginning to get pissed. But then figured out that I had to navigate it, along with the hour/minute hands to get the green hand and the minute hand where they needed to be, and then go one click back in and set the hour hand. Hope that made sense; hell, doesn't matter -- I'm the one who understands now... I do appreciate it (and do LOVE) the watch. |

Being as I didn't buy this watch, my opinions mean nothing but... She's a looker all right. Of all the new models, the new generation GMT II combines both visual and functional improvements that make for a genuine winner

Not mine... quoted from USMCsilver. I'm obviously impressed with this watch. Yes, it is a great shot. I'm sure he'll gladly accept your compliment.
