Authentic military dial?

Came across this dial while browsing another watch from this seller. It looks "off" to me but I'm no expert.

Can anyone here comment on its authenticity?

This rare configuration does exist, coincidentally Mike Wood just posted a pic of one on IG. That said I have no clue if it's authentic but it certainly does look refinished.

The seller has 100% feedback and has some interesting watches for sale but as Nathaniel says, this dial looks refinished to me.

Just thought it might be interesting to get input from more knowledgeable folk than I.

I do not believe the dial on ebay to be the same as the known MOD "Burford" dials.

I own a Burford dial and have high resolution scans of many more, all sharing some very distinctive, consistent features.

There are a few comments here about the eBay dial looking "refinished." It is important to accept that the correct MOD "Burford" dials for A/6538 and 5512 models are themselves refinished, so that in itself is not one of the reasons why I conclude that this dial is not like all the others.

This dial has been sitting on Ebay for 3-5 months now, if it was genuine, it would have been snatched up long ago. I am no expert on these (or anything really) but if it was real, it would have been long snatched up.

bad imitation of a Burford dial .. even the back is fake : the word SINGER is really terrific ( and btw is engraved and not punched ) !!!!

My thoughts exactly. This seller has a few nice-looking watches for sale but how could you trust anything at this point?
