YM on...YM off...Subby's back in business!!
Hi guys,
Thought I'd keep Yammy on for the rest of the week. Wore it on Monday and Tuesday....but started to miss Subby so much that....well, Subby was just so overjoyed to see me that he took one big hop, step and jump and landed smack back on my hairy wrist.

Subby is a little cleaner than he was the last time I saw him (but he still has that flat "S")!
Always good to see Subby. Mine sends greetings to him!

Now that Prince brought it to my attention, I looked at my sub and the "S" looks completely different. Is there an explanation for the flat "S", or is she just under-developed? That may explain the fetish for cleavage!!!

The more I look at the pictures of J.J.'s sub and look at mine, I seem to note another difference. Don't the crown protectors look a little small? When I hold my watch at the same angle as the pictures are taken, the crown protectors seem to appear much more prominent than they do in the pictures. Just my observation. I know my watch is authentic, because although it's relatively new (bought the first week in February 05), it was purchased from an AD and sent back to Rolex in NY to have the crystal replaced after I obtained a big scratch in the crystal. Anyway, it just seems that the crown protectors in the photos look a lot less prominent than the ones on my watch, even when I look at my watch at the same angle the pictures were taken.

I just looked at some photos of someone else who posted pictures of his sub collection, and it appeared that his subs had "flat" S's. Did Rolex have a certain series that had the "flat" S's? As I stated, mine was purchased in the U.S. on Feb. 9, 2005 from an AD and is an F serial number. JJ, I hope you realize that I'm new to this board and I'm DEFINITELY not implying that your watch isn't the real deal. I was just noting that there appeared to be some differences. I've learned a lot in the week or so that I've been a member here and I find the information interesting. It also seems that some of your "buddies" here love to bust your stones and vice versa.

Thanks for the interest shown in my watch. Don't listen to all these tossers. As you rightly observed they love to bust my balls and vice versa. Some of us go back a very long, long way....but that's another story. This FLAT 'S' and ROUND 'S' thingy...it's just that Rolex has used different dial printers, nothing more. In recent weeks, there have been a number of flat "S" ones going around - hardly noticeable anyway. Cheers - JJ
