Stock in Milan

Well, a small city close to Milan at least.

Daytonas and Pepsi already sold, but available to try. Not even possible to be put on the Daytona list

That’s a big tease to see them in the window and get told I can’t buy them

By far the same anywhere in Europe.

Wonder if the 'owner' of the sold pieces has agreed for random strangers to try their watch on free of charge?
I wouldn't be happy with that myself.

This is just a bait to lure people in and bundle with PM.

If you want a PM I’m sure the boss will go in the backstore to « call » the client of the SS and the client will magically be no longer interested..

Bingo. Nothing there is sold.

You think the buyers of the Pepsi, Daytona, Blue Sky-D all need to wait for funds to clear to buy these watches? Then they show up and their watch is sitting in the window.

When someone gets that call, they're on the way.

Agreed. I don't think AD will remove stickers, put watches in window display and offer any passing Tizio or Caio to try the watch on.

It would feel really bad to see that and not have a Daytona.

Nice to see them all together like that.

Christ. Talk about a TRF honey pot. Both DaytonaC's, new BLRO, LVc, and blue SkyD all in one window? Unfortunately, if I saw that in today's environment I'd have a feeling it would be too good to be true and there has to be some kind of catch.

You sure those aren't display models with a dummy movement inside? They all have the 10:10 time on the dial (which can of course also be set), but I haven't seen many ADs deliberately do this. In fact, most models that ADs put in the window (like any other model) can be unintentionally wound just by moving them to and from the safe overnight resulting in the time changing.

These look like display only models intended to draw customers in. Kind of a shame if when you get inside the real display cases are empty.

None of those are for sale. It's a pure tease.

I tried the same in a shop outside of Milan and they had so much goodies on display...All "sold" and the collector just let people try them on. Not sure what the purpose of it was. It was in Saronno I believe. Waste of time for even setting foot in their piss poor shop...Hope they lose their license for being complete mongs.

Right, considering all of these watches are hot, what are the odds that they are all simultaneously on hold? This is either a poorly designed lure to bundle the reference with a precious metal piece or they are "display only" models.

I wouldn't know, I personally did not try them, but good observation, I hadn't noticed the time was the same on all of them.

I only hope the BLNR they have to deliver to me in a few days is actually working :)

To be completely fair it was the first day of opening after almost one month of closure due to interiors refurbishing, so it might as well be that the day after they were all gone to the respective owners.

Agree. Like buy a YG DD and a 31mm DJ with diamonds and we will LET YOU have the privilege of purchasing this SS Daytona at MSRP.

I don’t think so. Most of the watches are close to 10:10, but from what I can see are not at 10:10:31....

Yeah, I just noticed the crown looks pulled out on all the models. This makes it even worse since they have real models for sale, but are using them as lures.

"Oh I'd like to purchase the GMT-Master II in the window."
"Sorry, that one is reserved."
"Ok, I'd like to purchase the green Submariner Date."
"Oh, no that one is reserved also."
"I'd like to buy a platinum Day-Date."
"I just spoke with the buyer of the GMT and Sub, they are no longer interested in them."

Sad.

That is a conversation that they will entertain. Or... 3 dead DJs for 2 hot pieces on display.
I'd have to do the math to see how much I'm losing per watch then and see if it'd be worth it.

I bet if you bought the Platinum Daydate, one of those may somehow become available lol. Rolex ought to just raise prices at this point and get it over with

I know how i would feel if i had bought one, came back and while looking in the window saw half a dozen guys passing my watch around, trying it on and then put it back in the window.
