Would you do this trade?

Have someone offering me to trade my explorer II black dial for a GMT Batgirl with box but AD is keeping warranty card.

Gentleman is telling me that slim possibility AD will be giving me the warranty card in a year since I’m not purchaser.

He wants my EXPLORER plus 7600 CAD which is about 5800 USD.

What’re your thoughts?

I already own a 116710 but this is a 126710 also I never wear the explorer II

I would not do that trade. I prefer your LN to the BLNR and the Explorer just adds more variety IMO, you already have a great duo.

I also think the 116710 is nicer than the BLNR. It doesn’t make sense to have two of pretty much the same watch.

sounds like a bad deal that you are going to regret, especially without the possibility of ever getting the warranty card. I would stay far away from this kind of BS if I were you.

How about 6500 USD plus the explorer II for one with an open card and stickered?

The money is about right on that trade..

The batman with jubilee is hawt and you will pay for that.

I personally would not do that trade bases on the watches themselves, but from a money standpoint that is what it will take to get into the batman...

I’d pass. I’m in Toronto too and I can’t believe the warranty card is being held by an AD... no way!

^^^ Agree with this. ^^^ What kind of deal is this? Does the seller need the AD's blessing here to flip the watch your way? If so, that's a non-starter.

Get a significant discount for this condition or walk away. NO card, especially with an active warranty that's rightfully yours, NO deal.

Good luck.

For those who say money is right.

New E2 is 7900, right? Add 5800......you are gonna be out 13.700.
The new Batman (I do not like the name Batgirl) retails for 10k.

Although the deal might be within the market values at this time......... I would not do the trade. I would try negotiate the extra cash down to 4k.

I wouldn't do the trade unless you just have to have the BLNR. I would hold back $1K USD until you get the card if you go through with it. Maybe consider sourcing a jubilee bracelet for $2K USD, and switch up on the LN. If you are not wearing the ExpII and no longer connect with it, then find it a new home and cash out.

I see no reason to have two very similar GMT's. Maybe just sell the Explorer if you aren't wearing it?

Not a chance. That is a terrible deal!!

The BLNR ok the jubilee is a watch that is not terribly hard to come by at retail.

If you are considering adding that kind of money there are SEVERAL other watches that make more sense.
