Beautiful observation on the 38mm ROC 26315
I’ve had the 26315st with grey dial for about two weeks now, and I’m constantly taken with it’s beauty.
There is one detail I noticed today that I wanted to share.... The rehaut of the watch is mirror polished, creating an optical illusion that seems to expand the edge of the dial. The outer chronograph seconds chapter ring is perfectly reflected, giving the dial a slightly larger expanse when viewed off-center. As a result, the watch reads subtly larger than its dimensions would suggest. Three photos posted below: a dead-on shot, one looking at a slight angle where the ring is mirrored, and finally a photo of the reflection at a more extreme angle: |

This is a beautiful watch and a future classic! I haven't been the biggest fan of the date font, but on this model it actually works really well with the font in the subdials.

Yep, I believe they do. There’s just something a bout that second/sub second track and the placement where it mirrors it perfectly to give it that “expanded” effect. It’s subtle, but such a cool little detail, whether intentional or just as a byproduct of the dial design. |
