Explorer 2

Can the forum explain to me what they think of the Explorer two as I think is the most versatile Rolex professional models that it’s produced. I’ve had one now for six months and it feels so comfortable (black face) and it’s so under the radar that I believe try the best Fessional models that they have produced or sometimes. I’d appreciate forums opinions on this…

I daily my EXP II as well.
I can agree that it's a most versatile Rolex but can't agree that it's comfortable @ 42mm.
39mm 214270 was alot more comfortable.

Clean design. GMT. Simple Bezel. Legible. Darn good package. Probably looks good with leather strap too.

Love mine, and so very photogenic, wearing mine this evening, although I do normally wear it in the summer months.

The Explorer II is not only versatile, but also durable with it's solid bezel and clean lines.

It's my go-to watch for adventure or high risk activities.

The polar is one of may favorites. Love how nighttime lights play off the bezel, and how the cyclops shadow is more visible with the white dial. But best of all is that I don't feel the need to look over my shoulder in sketchy areas.

I would say one hell of a value watch. Not to mention one of the best white dial Rolex out there. I wish they made more supply on the Exp2. Every AD keeps giving me the same message that they don't seem to get many per year or that they haven't received one for months.

The 42mm Polar was my first Rolex and still one of my favourite models. It's versatile, it's comfortable (on me), it's unusual and it is the most legible watch I have ever seen.

It's my default travel watch and I wear it 24/7 when I'm away from home.

I think they missed a trick on the new model by dropping the floating hands of the black dial version.

Its pretty close. I would only really put the GMT ahead as the rotating bezel allows to measure elapsed time as well. But its one of the less hyped watches out there and I mean that in the best way possible.

Huge fan of the Explorer II. Perfect daily that I wear during the week with a Submariner for the weekend.

Living in Alaska is the perfect watch for the winter. People nowadays are really taking attention, I heard is hard to get now from the Ad. Cheers!!

Great watch. But the Explorer 3 coming out at the end of March will probably divert all the hype in this model.

Great watch. I prefer the 40mm with the red hand, but that’s just personal taste.

My favorite. GMT hand (which I use). No one knows it’s a Rolex (except for me). Great size (42mm was too big for my wrist). Keep perfect time. No rotating bezel (for sand to get under). Perfect daily.

Great watch and I have both the Polar and the Black dial. I have a larger wrist at 7.5-7.75 and the 42 mm case works well for me. I like how flat it sits on my wrist.

The Explorer II was the first Rolex that I purchased for myself. It still gets plenty of wrist time among more popular sport models because it is extremely versatile and comfortable. I got it when I turned 30 as a gift to myself. I am turning 40 next month, it looks like I need to add something.

Huge fan of the Explorer II (216570), especially the Polar variant.

It was the first Rolex I bought but was sold after 10 months as it was slightly too big for my 7 inch wrist.

It's a real shame Rolex didn't reduce its wing span (lug to lug) with the new version. Its a 42mm watch that wears more like a 44mm.
