Watch brands and customizations

Hello

If you like a particular watch from a specific brand, but it only comes in SS or WG, can you do a special piece in another metal such as platinum?

For example this watch comes in WG, can you get it in platinum?

There was a user named "Finest", maybe you should ask him?

I mean, if you’re talking Rolex, and your last name is Federer, it’s a solid “maybe”

I'm asking because this one comes in platinum, whereas the sapphire one above comes in WG. Can the WG one also come in platinum? They are both Rolexes.

Theoretically, sure (not sure if the green-set lugs would be difficult with platinum). My point was that very few would have the pull to convince Rolex to do it.

The one pictured above was created from existing components. So even as a one-off, we’re talking custom dial/bezel. But there’s a platinum DD case/bracelet/case back already ready to go. But there’s nothing off the sort with a Sub. None of those components exist in platinum.

Certain microbrands offer to work with you to customize your watch.

Rolex typically does not (as far as I know). They occasionally make special editions (mostly slightly customized dials) but to do something as you suggest you would have to have a very strong relationship with HQ because the Submariner does not even exist in platinum.

This model came in Pt. Here is a pic of Roger Federer’s wife wearing it.

Are Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Jacob & Co., Roger Dubuis, and Vacheron Constantin such brands?

It's a women's watch?
