1675 changed my Bezel insert
I swapped my dad's old beat up insert with another old one.
Background, a friend who's an AD once changed this out for a new clean insert maybe 20 or 30 years ago, when people didn't want much patina on their pieces. He has it on his desk since then. Noting that condition of this one was better then mine, he brought it for me. I'm very happy about my updated old watch. |

Looks good with the new/old insert! Did the same thing with mine when i got it back from service. Had Dads old insert on it. Then got a new service insert from RSC, then got a really faded period correct one off EBAY, then a medium faded period correct one, also off EBAY. Still have the new service insert on it for the time being but I am thinking about another one now

For a while I thought about getting a new service insert, but having the thing worn out and old always gets questions and starts conversations. |

You still can
This thread needs more pics. A few options. And now perhaps a new all brown!

I always liked the ones with "copper" tone on the red part of the insert.

Looks great. Funny enough I’m about to do the same to my matte 16750 that was also my fathers.
It’s had the original insert since day 1 and never been to RSC. Also funny enough the blue side of my insert looks about the same as yours. I asked my AD if they could swap a service insert in and allow me to keep the original. Just waiting for it to arrive now. Yours looks great. Excited to see how it comes out on mine once this insert arrives one day.

It's pretty much gone. You have some blue tint. But impossible to read the numbers.

I was quite lucky as it was a gift. Story is this was my AD friend swapped this many years ago for a new one because it was fading and original owner didn't like it. So it sat many years in his desk. I was fortunate that it wasn't discarded.
