My faith in APNA has been restored
After AP’s move to boutique only, I have been pretty vocal how that put many people in a weird position who were not in a market that a salon existed and had a solid relationship with a local dealer. I had bought many AP’s over the years while I had my AD and when this move happened, my shot at getting a jumbo was essentially out the window. I had contacted a few boutiques directly with my story and fell on deaf ears, they didn’t care.
Well, after randomly meeting someone on an airplane, who happened to be wearing a jumbo and noted my carbon diver, and telling him my story, he offered an introduction. I told this person my story and validated my collection which was in my AP portal, about 6 months later it happened! I want to thank APNA for listening to my story and understanding what many are dealing with. To get this is literally a dream come true and so thankful to those who made this happen. I am out of town and my wife snapped a couple of pics to send until I get home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Great story and congrats on finally getting the piece you wanted! Did you go through the Nomad program or a boutique?

Congrats on your new acquisition.
I was in similar scenario when my AD stopped carrying AP right before the pandemic. I called every boutique across the nation. All gave me the same story BUT 1 out of state boutique/representative was open enough to entertain me. Fast forward,3 pieces later including a 50th, I couldn't be happier with my relationship with my home store. |

Love this, congratulations on an iconic piece!
Out of curiosity, how many APs do you have in your collection at the moment? |

Incredible story. Congrats!!
There's another member on here who is in the Nomad program and spoke very highly of it. Seems like the absolute best experience. I'm still trying to figure out my way in, seems like I need to start catching some flights 😂 |

Huge congrats! While wearing that beautiful FC Diver of yours at that. I'm still trying to decide between the FC Diver and Bumblebee. Maybe time for a TRF poll. LOL. Enjoy that new beauty in good health.

I asked my SA once if I can introduce awesome genuine people (who will treasure timepieces) to her. She basically said: don't bother unless you love them.
This dude either really loves you, or is a super nice guy. Cheers to that good Samaritan. |

What a great story. So happy that it worked out for you. What a kind gesture on his part for sure. You should definitely buy him an absurd dinner. Having someone make an intro goes a long ways for sure. I've helped out a couple of friends this way.
Enjoy that Jumbo. It is the perfect RO and the only non complication RO you ever need IMO. I've heard some great things about the NOMAD program too, but I met a pretty big collector at an FP Journe event this past weekend and his experience was the opposite of what I've heard. Don't know enough about it to comment one way or another though.
