Incoming Tentagraph!

Just picked it up. Photos coming soon! Surprised how well it fits my relatively small 6.75" wrists. Super light watch. Love it!

Unfortunately while I was getting it sized, I noticed the seconds hand is not perfectly aligned at 12 o clock….very unhappy about this but the seller claimed he didn’t know and that it is a factory error.

I looked at some photos online, and I actually did find other pictures of the second hand not being perfectly aligned at 12. It’s a first world problem, but when you pay thousands of dollars, you want these things to be perfect….

Anywho, I sent the watch back and hopefully will have it back within 12-15 weeks……

Very disappointed

I can understand that disappointment - it’s a stunning model.

A GS at Daytona prices + available online (plus a date function) makes it a contender.

Add in the Ti case & bracelet and it has more going for it than looks alone.

I don’t know much about the press-fit seconds hand but I’m guessing some of the assemblers (plus QCs) need extra training.

It's a Seiko! Grand Seiko, but still a Seiko! Misalignment is a feature so you know it's not a fake .

Sorry to kid about it, I love them to death but that's one of the things they can't seem to work out!!

My Jay Leno reissue has two of the 3 chrono hands misaligned! Of course it's nowhere near the price of this, but still...

I would want it right at the 14 k usd price point. Beautiful watch but too expensive $$

This happens with all watches. Google it, Rolex too. But you did the right thing and took it back. Will they replace it or fix it? And if they are fixing it, who is doing that? Hopefully GS themselves.

That's terrible on any Chronograph, let alone one that is $14K and touted as being of the highest possible build quality.

So you bought this preowned? I will question this watch left the Shizukuishi Watch Studio with that kind of mistake. As I understand those guys spend years in training to become part of the watchmakers production line.

Is possible this was serviced somewhere else for some reason?

Yea I bought it used (new condition). I doubt it was serviced in any matter since it was still fully stickered
