Will a glidelock from a 40mm Sub fit on a 40mm Explorer I (224270)?

Hi,

I'm thinking about replacing my "easy link" on my 224270 with a glidelock from a 40mm Sub and I wanted to know if anyone has done this. I don't want to experiment so I'd like to know the answer before I try to get a glidelock.

Thanks,

Jonathan

I don't have the 40mm sub. I have the 41. For the 41, the clasp is significantly longer and will change the wearing experience too much imho.

I also have a 41mm Sub and that was exactly why I was thinking the glidelock on the 40mm might work.

Cheers, Jonathan

I don't know the answer, but might I make a suggestion before going down that path.

We have a member that posted here a week or so ago asking about the sub 41 half link and it it would fit the new EXP. Apparently, at least according to the responses, it does. I would try the half link option before going glide lock. A lot less expensive, and I've found the half link to being more of a key to a good fit than even a fancy adjustable clasp.

I put a half link on my YG GMT and it was perfectly fine. Eventually I got a YG glidelock clasp and it’s even better and I like the added heft LOL.
