Need 18238 DD Extra YG Link
I recently purchased a 1989 18238 Day Date YG with champagne dial, president bracelet, and books/papers. Have always wanted this watch.
Looking at the old Rolex manual made me smile.. but when I put the watch on, it's a little snug on my wrist. I need to get my hands on one extra YG 18238 link. Anyone have a good source or an extra one laying around they want to sell? I looked on the existing forum boards but didn't see anything recent. Hope everyone had a great Eclipse Day! - K. |

Try a Rolex authorized dealer. Some of these bracelet parts are less expensive through an AD than prices in the secondary market.

Will do, my local AD is not fun to deal with but I'll suck it up and head over there. :)

Try Chamosa Watch Repair in Dallas. He is located on Preston.

Links are pretty easy, mate. Established dealers will have them, or be able to source them without much trouble.

Springer, only5 - thank you. Love this place. And love the Miami Vice image. I got the watch from 1989 instead of 1990+ so I’d intentionally have a day date from the 80s on my wrist. I’m listening to Crockett’s Theme as I type this. :)

I’d like a Day Date someday, and like you prefer the 5 digit references. For reference, what is your wrist size?

7 1/4" ... nothing crazy, whoever had this the last 30 years must have been anorexic or Jack Skellington.

When I had my 36, I had to have a total of 25 links to fit my wrist.
I think a stock bracelet comes with 23
