One hell of an incoming

I've always loved the design and aesthetics of the vintage Newman Daytonas - however i've always had a preference of wearing the sturdier, 6 digit pieces (probably an unpopular opinion, i know!)

So when Rolex released the Le Mans edition last year, with such strong callbacks to the design language aesthetics of the vintage newman daytonas (the subdial markers and fonts, the black and white color combo in particular), I knew I had to have it.

Was not an easy journey, but with a little help of some friends, managed to make this happen earlier this year.

This is definitely the best Rolex i've ever had the pleasure of getting my hands on - a perfect combo of vintage aesthetics with modern sturdiness. I also really love how the dial can look lacquered one minute, and sunburst the next. Tremendous stuff.

Are you kidding me? This might be the biggest wow incoming I have seen here. Impossible to get at an AD. Fantastic, enjoy it. Extremely envious! Also the white sub dials. I was wishing for those on SS but of course they rolled it out on the 100th anniversary in a special way with PM.

Well done! Enjoy it. The dial is excellent. Many of us would buy one given the opportunity.

YES - this is by far the best incoming on this forum I have ever seen. What a piece!

Did you buy this secondary? I didn't think it was possible for normal folks to get these pieces at the AD, unless you are Mark Wahlberg or Tom Brady. I know it's discontinued but I'm sure a few AD's hung onto this in their safes...
