Incoming OP36mm Turquoise

Hi Everyone,

I had been considering this configuration for some time, and a recent holiday away triggered me to buy it. The majority of my humble collection is rose gold, and I wanted something as a casual, "summery", fun daily wearer that I can swim with. My stainless steel Royal Oak is great, but I wanted something more robust. I recently turned down two further Royal Oaks from AP House London because I wanted something more durable.

I do not have a relationship with a Rolex AD, but I have a couple of clients who work for two different AD's in London. They both told me that without a purchase history, this would be "impossible" to purchase. In light of this information, I bought from a grey dealer I have known for some time. I am sure grey prices will continue to fall for this piece. However, I was keen to find one from a trusted dealer, with a white swing tag to minimise the risk of the model being a "Dial swap". This is also a 2024 model/partially stickered, so I was happy to snap it up!

I have attached some photos below with my other two Rolex watches to help give an idea of size compared to the Datejust 41mm and Day Date 40.

I look forward to having fun with this watch and enjoying it on vacations!

Congratulations

I’ll wager even if you bought all your watches from your AD, you would still be waiting

Even with the reported slowdown, the queue for this dial is a mile long

Love it and am hoping for one myself. I would consider going grey if the prices on these weren't so far above MSRP.

I actually prefer the 36mm due to the vibrancy of the dial!

Have always felt the 36mm was the “correct” size for such a watch. Have seen 36mm Rolex watches on 8+ inch wrists and it still looks better than 40+ IMO.

Are you saying that you think the color looks more vibrant on the 36 as opposed to the 41? Or just that you prefer the 36 size for this color?

Ah no, the vibrancy is the same in both sizes - I just prefer the smaller size on this watch due to its vivid/vibrant colour.
