Explorer II Engima Thread Closed
Why is the Explorer II Enigma thread (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...light=explorer) closed? We have so many members with an ExII that it'd be nice to see this thread last into perpetuity like the submariner thread.

Don’t know why. I hoped it would keep growing. I posted my one and only Rolex in that thread.
Might as well leave a photo here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Maybe an argument broke out or something and the mods had to close it I’m sure you can start a new explorer 2 thread |

I would pop in every once in a while and do not recall any arguments. 42mm and 40mm people would compliment each others' good taste. And the 1655s were praised by all.
Long live the Explorer II. |

I mean they have to have closed it for a reason. Send a Mod a PM and they’ll tell you why |

Every time I see one of these Polar's I want one more and more. To me it just pops more than my SubC… Maybe I'm in the minority on that one; but I really like the Explorer II. I tried on the Black dial and the fit was perfect; but I really want a white dial!

I was sad to see that thread closed too. After I got my Black 16570, it was the first thread on this forum that I ever read, and I read it all.

Anyone know why the thread was closed? I enjoy reading that thread too.

I've no idea and also found a loss in the missing thread. Seems like a reboot would be a good idea maybe without the Enigma part!!!

The Mods do not comment on thread closures but it may have something to do with the size of the thread.
VBulliten can have issues with threads beyond a certain size, I am not sure if it is a static limit or varies by instance.

No real reason for the closure except that it was from 2008 and considered to be obsolete.
It's re-opened...…… don't screw it up.

Wow, glad to see it reopened; clearly someone wasn't aware that it is the primary repository for images by ExpII owners!!!

Thank you. That was enjoying a tasty Scotch on a canal boat on Loch Ness in Scotland after a day of hiking.
That is on a 97200 Glidelock bracelet. I do enjoy the lightness of the 78790A, but the Glidelock microadjustments on the go is wonderful option. During a normal non-winter day, I make a few adjustments. To me it is a great marriage of the five digit look and six digit functionality. |
