Daytona Gold Bezel
As I've mentioned in other threads, my Daytona is at the RSC. It's a two tone and I was wondering if anyone knows what they do to the tachymeter for the gold models. I'm assuming they polish any scratches out but I was wondering if they re-engrave/fill in the letters and numbers on the tachymeter as hard polishing can sometimes lead to engraving being buffed out, or whether they use a soft polishing technique for bezels.

They do polish it, but I do not believe they do anything to the tach print. A couple polishes tends not to impact the text. After quite a few you observe the lettering get more faint. I believe RSC charges ~$1300 for a new PM bezel with trade in of the old. Once it gets bad (or before it does) you can just do that

This is an interesting post. Not sure what they do. So many bezels on older Daytonas look over polished and the numbers look dulled. I just had mine serviced and asked for it not to be polished. Always a concern of mine with that watch.
