3 Years Later...
Hey all it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but just wanted to share the watch that’s been with me nearly every day for the last 3 years (Oyster Perpetual 116000). I purchased it new from DavidSW. I know it’s not considered the quintessential Rolex by most, but it has accompanied me anywhere from the office to lazy Saturdays on the couch. I love that the OP really is the “original” Rolex and I’m proud to own it.
It has a few battle scars, but I try not to let them bother me too much...It’s my one and only Rolex (and probably my last). I remember how long I had wanted a watch like this and now I have the pleasure of wearing it everyday. I am thankful! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks great. As long as you enjoy wearing, which it sounds like you do.

There is something about it being the “original” Rolex that is very neat.
Makes me want one. Congrats on enjoying it for 3 years, and I hope you enjoy it for many more |

Like you said: it is the original Rolex so in my opinion it definitely fits the bill for "quintessential Rolex".
Much prefer this dial to the current duo colored ones.

Nice post and excellent watch! We share a very similar story. I've been wearing the same OP for close to three years as well.

Beauty in simplicity! For some reason, the rehaut engraving has a nice "pop" of complexity vs the dial...
Congrats on the ownership! |
