Unscrewed Crown... should I be concerned?

Hey TRF, quick question for you.

I of course unscrewed the crown on my DJ 116234 yesterday to switch up to the first of the month. After I gave my daughter a bath wearing the watch, I realized a couple hours later that the crown was still unscrewed. The watch got wet but was probably not fully submerged, at least not for any length of time. Should I be concerned about any water getting into the case?

Any input is greatly appreciated. I hope everything is staying safe and sane!

If not submerged, it will probably be ok, but no way of knowing for sure (especially as you're not certain of how wet it got).
I have heard to put the watch amidst a bag of (obviously uncooked) rice to let it absorb any moisture that may have built up in the watch.
Sound advise would probably be to hack the movement and bring it in for a checkup once ADs/watchmakers open up again.

You will be o.k. The watch is still WR with the crown unscrewed.

The DJ should at least be a twin lock so there is another seal that will keep any water out. You shouldn’t go diving with it unscrewed but submerging it in a bath tub shouldn’t be a problem.

As long as the seals are good you have no problem with the twin lock system. You forgot to wear the belt but you have suspenders.
