Really, you picked up another? Or you're thinking about it? 30s pulsations dials are very appealing.

Congratulations, Frank. It's clear you have a tremendous passion for this reference, which is really admirable.

These pieces are very interesting.

Please do not be offended by my question but have you checked the authenticity of these pieces?

You have shown 3 so far , I think

They are so rare . I do not think I have ever seen one in real life

Thanks for showing

If Frank wrote a book on the 2508, I would buy it. He can tell you whether every part is authentic, replaced, original, restored, transplanted, repaired, rare, common, etc.

They're as rare as the proverbial hen's teeth....2508's are available but generally have been pieced together and the vast majority aren't as would have been original...Smaller parts can be replaced from wear after so long, like a very fragile minute recording jumper, and still would be considered original but it's like anything desirable and collectible today as the desire to make money always supercedes any ethical consideration....Finding them in nearly like new condition requires a massive amount of research and exhaustive patience....Like I said...I need an intervention....:-)....This particular one is virtually untouched after 85 years...!!!...Look how crisp the lugs are...!!!...If it was ever polished it was done extremely lightly....Working on another rarity now...Maybe....:-)....

The only thing I wasn't completely satisfied with were the hour and minute hands....Looks like they may have been cleaned and the blue iridescence isn't as brilliant as it should be.....Just finished the heat reblue on the hour hand and I'll do the minute hand in a bit and I should have it back together tonight....

And this one for over $400k! It really depends on the details. Which execution, which dial, and obviously condition.
