Lange 1 moonphase question for owners

Good morning all.

A quick question for owners (or those knowledgeable) of the Lange 1 moonphase....I can’t seem to find the answer elsewhere online.

The push corrector at 10 o’clock — does it advance the date only, or also the moonphase simultaneously?

If the purpose of this push corrector is to allow quick “catch-ups” after the watch has run down, it would seem an odd choice for the corrector to advance the date only, and not the moonphase...therefore my question.

Thanks all!

No, it only advances the date, which is the correct choice.

The purpose of the pusher is to be able to easily correct for months with less than 31 days. The different number of days in a month is independent of the age of the moon.

If the button worked as you describe, every month that wasn't 31 days would also require the owner to completely reset the moon phase, which would be more hassle than the button saved in the first place.

The button advances the date only. And that is the correct design choice.

Got it — on reflection I see you are 100% correct — thanks!

Pusher for date. Corrector for moonphase.

If you want to adjust both simultaneously, use the crown.
