GO PanoMaticLunar

I realize this is The Rolex Forums but I thought I could get a great opinion here. I am interested in purchasing a Glashütte Original PanoMaticLunar. What are people’s thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Can’t go wrong. I got the PanoReserve and love it. Only downside is it may make you want a Lange One.

In my view, it looks better in pictures than it does in person. The white dial is more of an eggshell color, the date wheel is a different shade of white, and it’s a fairly thick watch.

It is a great watch! I have it on the bracelet and it wears very comfortably. I also have the leather that I can change over to but it is a little dressier that way and I tend to wear my watches watches more casual as I am retired.

I have the white dial like you pictured but they just introduced a gradient green dial that looks very sharp. You can see it on their website. I purchased mine from Topper Jewelers in CA. Rob Topper is great to work with. I have bought several watches from him. Very knowledgeable and fairly priced. Good luck.

Absolutely love it! I wanted to add one of these to my collection too. It’s a very versatile dress watch IMO. In person it seems thicker than photos. Not sure if that will bother you but thought it worth mentioning

I've wanted to add this for a long time. Awesome watch.

Though to be honest, I think I'd always be thinking of a Lange if I did. So I'm being more patient and just perhaps going to buy once, buy right. (My opinion of course.)

It's not a Rolex, but still a good looking watch.

Beauty.

I have more respect for GO than for many other brands costing 2-4x as much.

Solid design and build. Instant WIS respect seeing one in the wild.

Great looking watch. As others have said, it is a tad thick. Not horribly so by the specs, I think the sides of the case maybe accentuate the thickness. Beyond that minor gripe, I really like the dial layout and aesthetics.

I also recommend giving Rob at Toppers a shot if you are looking to get one. Stand up guy and normally very competitive.

It’s a fantastic watch. I have the blue dial version and it’s one of my favorites. I don’t find it too thick given the complication and it punches well above its weight class on the quality meter. Particularly on the preowned market. I wouldn’t hesitate.

Love it, it's one of my favorites in the dress watch category. I considered it against the JLC Reverso and ended up with the latter but this watch is stunning.

Honestly I liked my grey dial panomatic more than my Lange 1. I had both at the same time too.

I think the moonphase on the pano is really sexy and the date disks look far better than the Langes.

Finishing is of course a step up on the Lange but I think the pano is A TON of watch for the money especially used.

OP you have got a lot of good feedbacks so far.

I own a white dial one and I love it. It is a bit thick but not excessively. The dial is indeed an off-white but it changes depending on the lighting. Finish is great for the price point and the movement is nicely decorated with some components finished by hand.
Although the dial arrangement and the provenance make people think about the Lange 1 as a competitor in my opinion they are very different watches. The Lange 1 is thinner and wears /feels more like a proper dress watch. The PML edges on the casual side with its more substantial case.

I like these except for the obvious text on the dial. I already know its a moonphase & a panoramic date. I'm kind of surprised they omitted "Watch" on the top.

It does look better in person than in pictures. I enjoy wearing mine as it so different than other watches in my collection.

I have only seen it on the internet and think it looks beautiful. Will definitely make sure to check it out in person before buying.

My only hesitation is the thickness I hear mentioned. Thank you!

Thanks for the perspective! I have also read great things regarding finishing.

It’s good to hear height isn’t a factor for you.

The back of the watch is an absolute work of art and at just over £6k 2nd hand, it is so so tempting

I own a Panoreserve but considered the Panomatic Lunar. The PML is a beautiful watch and "punches above its weight"; it stands up against watches double or triple its price. Just make sure to try one on in person before you buy because, as others have said, the PML is thick.
