Day Date on a Leather Strap

What are your thoughts on wearing a 18238 Day Date (silver dial) on a black alligator leather strap? Thinking about giving it a different look.

I’ve just got a brown one for mine with silver dial don’t think it Matches very well. Champagne would look better would like to find a black one.

Being very conservative... as both oyster and jubilee bracelets are state of design art ... must admit that DJ 36 with flutter bezel goes with leather strap so much

Do you plan to use the OEM buckle with the strap or tang-type?

I've never seen a DD moon phase, is that legitimate?

Thanks guys for all your replies!

Those are some gorgeous pictures. What reference is the moonphase?

With regards to the strap, I was thinking about getting a Camille Fournet (matte black, but maybe brown too now given how beautiful the above pictures look). Unfortunately, they don't offer any with a deployant buckle (only tang). Might look around some more, but the quality is fantastic.

Love the factory DD on strap, not so much aftermarket. Really hope they come out with the DD40 on strap since discontinuing the 36 on strap, and in some different colors.

Gorgeous!
May I ask where you got the strap from, and if it's with a deployant of tang?
