No wrong answer. Try both and see which your grin the widest.

Perfect size for my 7 inch wrist

In my opinion the Datejust 41 is the perfect size for a 7 inch wrist. Any smaller and it wouldn't be in proportion. Here's my blue smooth on Jubilee

DJ41 for me. I prefer DJ36 but it's too small for me.
The DJ41 would be a 126334, the flat bezel is too large so the fluted is the good choice.
For the 36, it's the reverse, i have a probleme with the fluted 126234 (a proportion probleme) so the bombed bezel is perfect !! 126200 !

I hesitate a lot between the 126334 and the 126300 (withe roman dial with the railroad)
The oyster on the 126200 would give a Oyster Perpetual style with a date, a tool but this model give the oportunity to get the jubilee so ... hard choice

Both have the advantage to have the new generation of movement (here for the 30 next years)

I try, but I just cannot wear my DJ41 every day. I am so aware of it being there, and surely a daily is supposed to be something that you wear without thinking about.

It’s like when I wear my Sub C, I know it’s there due to the slight heft, however, it can be forgiven for that due to it being a diver - it is supposed to be bulkier and wear larger.

I have a 6.75ish wrist and I think the classic 36mm is the way.

I think your post is a little one-dimensional. Don’t take offence to that, as many others here see it the same way as you.

She simple measurement 7” of your wrist cannot dictate how a wa5ch will wear.

How big your hand is, how long your arm is, what build and height are you? These are all things that dictate to how a watch looks on someone.

Two people with a 7” wrist; one who’s 5”8 and heavier build the other who’s 6” who’s more slender. The taller, slender, person would suit that watch more.

Not only that, but you also have a jubilee bracelet on your DJ41, so i5s a sheer stop with no additional fixed link like the oyster which essentially extends the lug-to-lug measurement.

A 36mm DateJust for everyday wear. It’s more comfortable than my SS Sub/Date.

DJ 36 has better proportions than 41 imo. The bezel, dial, and indices look stretched out on the 41.

At some point though the 36mm will look small based on wrist size. However, based on photos Ive seen guys with 7.5 inch wrists rocking a 36mm and it looks great so maybe go 41mm if you have like 8 inch wrists?

I had a 41mm Datejust and traded it in for a 36mm Datejust. The 41mm proportions just look wrong.

I love the classic look of the 36mm Datejust, so I'd go for the 36. Though my wrist is just about 6.5 inch, so i can pull it off easy (skinny guy).
Starting from 7.5 inches i would recommend a 41.
The DJ II looks off to me proportion wise.

My sentiments exactly, I have owned both but always opt for the 36mm. I have a 7 1/4 wrist as well.

The 36mm fits and looks perfect on me.

If your wrist size is small to average, the 36. A large wrist, the 41.

New 41mm wears closer to 40mm. So 41!

If only one watch as my daily driver I would pick the DJll. It’s larger case can make it more casual. If in a collection I would choose the DJ41 on jubilee.

DJ41. I just bought DJ41 smooth bezel oyster blue face. Wears like 40mm. It a nicely balanced.

I have 17cm wrist size...perfect size and balance.

If we're ONLY going by the current models? DATEJUST II all the way.

But my everyday wear watches are a 1990 datejust and a 1966 Oyster Perpetual.

BTW, quick question for everybody: will the Datejust II's go up in value over time?

Very hard to predict but with such a short production run it's very likely.
