Are saying if you can't afford a Willard to buy a copy of it? I would recommend a Seiko SRP before I would recommend a knock-off of another watch.

Doesn't look bad
From my experience replicas don't satisfy, as you will always know its not the real thing when you put it on.

Not a replica
Uses a Seiko movement and doesn't say Seiko
Solid great watch
And yes if you can't afford something you buy a homage

Meh. Non-limited Willard is really at the point where you can save up and enjoy.

Btw, nothing wrong with a great homage from a technical point of view. But a homage will never be the original - its reason for existence is to be a copy.

Why not buy a Seiko turtle, as others have said. $300-499.

the only thing not copied from Seiko is the name on the dial. that is pushing the homage designation imo.

It looks like a fake Willard.

I'd just as soon buy a SRP777 and maybe do a little mod to Willard hands and waffle strap.

Or take the money you would put towards that watch, sell a couple of other watches not really worn and buy the Willard.

One of the coolest things about Seiko is they make something for every budget. No homage necessary.

For low budget, nobody can beat Seiko, good look and good quality for the money.
