Tudor watch price list from 1957

Hi guys,

Here is the first thread (as suggested by Old Expat Beast) I am starting (sorry) to show photographed copies of a load of vintage rolex and tudor documents my late father has collected from the period that have been found by my mother.

Wow, it just goes to show how Tudor today has essentially filled the place of the old Rolex, in terms of price.

According to that pamphlet:

The 34mm Prince Oysterdate on bracelet in 1957 =277 CHF
which means =$64.64 US
which means =$578.06 US today with inflation

The 36mm DateJust in steel on Oyster in 1957 was =$255 US
which means =$2280.39 US today with inflation

Just for fun, the Rolex Submariner in 1957 = $150
which means =$1,341.41 US today with inflation

In other words, just to be more clear, buying a Rolex in the 1950s-1970s was more akin to buying a Tudor today, price wise, if inflation calculators are to be believed.
