5 went i to Sydney this week per a senior member on OF. I have no idea how many boutiques there are however, but it’s fair to assume those 4 are all Sydney at least.

I find this very hard to believe or not being told the whole story. The watch has just been released and OBs have lots of deposits down. No way a boutique delivered all watches already and have no list so now they have to put the watches in the cases. If you told me this story in a year, I would believe it a bit more.

I agree it’s very hard to believe, but I have had interactions with that member before (buying/selling etc) and I have no reason to doubt him and he has no reason to make it up....

I had the same feeling, although I don’t understand why a trusted seller from 2016 and 40+ watches on listing needs to put up a fake reference.
What is the advantage?
Getting clicks on chrono?
Isn’t that bad for his business?

I agree, not calling the guy a liar but it makes zero sense. And we're talking about a busy Paris Boutique the demand for the Snoopy must be massive with the amount of traffic there.

There's more to the story we just don't know or neither does the op of the story.

I could believe this if the guy is a VIP, they got a Snoopy one of the VIP in line dropped his allocation, and since he was at the Boutique he got the offer.
Difficult to believe, but still possible, if you are a VIP.
Not as a regular customer just walking by the OB.
I don’t believe that.

I heard Chrono24 is taking down any posts that don't have real pictures. Too many sellers selling watches they don't even have possession of.

No, it means 27k was the ask. No one will know where it sold apart from the new owner and the watch dealer (if indeed it did sell).

I feel the same. Poor guy is getting a ton of heat. I believe him, not that that helps much! But I truly can believe somebody who had their deposit down, happened to just back out that day. Maybe he walked in at just the right moment or the boutique also knew they could call anyone but were open to walk ins that particular day. I'm not sure what's happening with quarantine right now there, but I can see valuing a walk in right now during COVID and liking the interaction. Just a thought. Anyways, It is a very specific color scheme and although I love it, I can totally see many not feeling it or knowing how to make it work as an everyday watch and opting for the new 3861 instead and passing on their deposit - signaling the OB to move down the list etc.

Even if it is true (which I don't believe for the record either fabrication or misidentification imo) what does that say about a major OB just throwing their list out the window and offering to a walk in?

I completely understand! And I also agree, I'm just giving him some more credit :) We don't really know his prior purchase history/relationship to the dealer or Omega in general.

I agree. I think this is a watch for someone who has more than one watch.

Totally agree, and tack on it had to be one of first Snoopys they got. Not like it was a year into production. Safe to say we know half the story.

Well it will be a 2-3 years before we know how many will be made. I'm hoping Omega makes them for 4 years at 2,500 each year. The demand is there. We'll see.
