Very nice. Cool strap. I'm after a racing strap for my Speedy

Cool Omega, for sure

Do you have its original bracelet? I'm guessing its bracelet was reference 1498 or 1499, and those taper to a bit narrower spec at the clasp.

I didn't realise that these were made as late as 2000, I thought that they were a 1980s model.

Very nice watch, I wish there was still a choice of which case back you can have with them hesalite crystal.

Very nice! Good call getting the extract, it's great having the documentation Omega offers to complete the set. I got the COSC certificate a week or so ago for my new Planet Ocean Chronograph. Thanks for sharing!

Well, with the new model using Caliber 3861, I'm guessing we can purchase the transparent case-back supplied on the sapphire model and screw it directly onto the back of the Hesalite model. This is because there isn't a soft iron dust cover used in the new Hesalite model, and I don't know of any other reason the sapphire case-back isn't a simple swap for the solid case-back.

Well presumably you can just remove the dust cover and fit a transparent case back onto the old Hesalite version as well.

I’m sure that I have seen a photo of this with the standard movement, as opposed to the ‘better’ finished version of the movement, and I liked it.

I’ve tried to find one of the original Hesalite / transparent case back watches in the UK but they are very, very rare.

Congrats!

I love mine and waited more than a year to find one. It was my first Speedmaster as I was determined to have "best of both worlds"
