Jaeger Le-Coultre Classic Large Duoface Reverso

Since buying a JLC Polaris Chrono, I've been really impressed with the build of JLC watches, so much so that I fancied another. As it's in its 90th year, I thought I'd go for a Reverso. The model and size to get was the next decision. In the end I went for the Classic Large Duoface as I thought it was the best size for my 7.5 inch wrist. The movement isn't hacking and is hand-wind but who cares, I certainly don't.

It came on a black Alligator strap but I thought it was too formal so I ordered an Ostrich strap and love the look it now has.

The original Alligator strap

With the black face the hour hand and Day/Night indicator can be adjusted in one hour increments, whilst leaving the white face as at home time.

The JLC collection.

Great set. I’m stuck deciding if I want the blue on white or black on white myself. Waiting for our local AD to open and try both on.

I prefer the hands on mine and the guilloche machining on the face.

That's a great pair of JLCs and that's among my favorite Reversos and probably my favorite for daily wear. It looks great on alligator or ostrich and the large size is great for a 7.5" wrist. Wear them in good health.

That’s a wonderful looking watch!

I love the Reverso, and think it pairs well with your new ostrich strap.

Great looking watch, I prefer the classics to the tributes, but I want the medium for my 6.5" wrist. Might be my next watch actually, if I give up waiting for a Rolex...

I have the OP's' watch but in the medium size and a first generation Sun Moon in the same medium size (called Grand Taille at the time) and they're perfect for my 6.7" wrist. The medium-large 45.6mm works great too and I can pull off the large 47mm, but I prefer the medium size. However, the extra large 49.4 with the moonphase is too big for me, I think, even though I like the watches themselves, especially the new Nonantieme. You won't go wrong with a Reverso.

It's a beauty and probably my next watch in the medium size. I also enjoy the Casa Fagliano strap that is available as well... it really highlights the surprising versatility of what's widely considered a "dress watch".

Nice Reverso!
I like it a lot, you can’t go wrong with Reverso and in general with JLC, great house.
Congrats on the pair.

Bought the same piece (large) few weeks back, the day just before, my AD reduces the discount for JLC.

Fits my 6.5” wrist well, hopefully will get some photos soon.

Thanks and you're right, you can't go wrong with a JLC.

I managed to squeeze 10% out of my AD but it took some squeezing. They only wanted to give me 6%. I look forward to the pictures.

It's great Reverso! Switching to the ostrich is also a big plus. Let it wear well and do not ask for service!

The only disadvantage of manual winding mechanisms is the precision of the gait. But this is a secondary issue with its beauty.
