Do you expect that insurance to buy you 100k watch in gray market for your 30k insured watch? They may give you 30K back but they won't buy it for 100k to replace you!

With Jewelers Mutual all you do is submit a current appraisal for replacement value and that is what they will insure it for. …for a price of course. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

All insurance policies work this way. Of course, you need to keep up with the rising values. So it's a bit rough right now. |

I have a 5712 that I bought new under list in 2007. It’s a great watch and I still wear it. I swim with it, I wear it to the beach, etc. I will admit I don’t wear it as much as I used to but I think it’s because it’s no longer under the radar and has some connotations I don’t love. My daily wearer has been a Pepsi GMT my wife got me in Feb for my birthday...but I wear that because my kids were so excited to see me get it that it’s a sentimental thing and when I don’t wear it they are like why aren’t you wearing our present?

I like this story. Challenging to tell your kids you have lots of choices so the Pepsi is in rotation Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
