Nice watch indeed.
The warranty is irrelevant as is the condition of the watch as far as the RSC is concerned. I'm sure they will size the bracelet for you (although this an easy skill you can do yourself) and sell you a link. Neither have anything to do with the warranty.

I would not have a service done at this point if the watch is running fine. As a matter of interest they do not "lubricate" a watch - only a full service (about $750). I suggest asking the RSC to check the warranty status as a matter of course.

Brigning NOS to RSC Questions

Why RSC for a link? Links aren't under warranty and no reason to service. Just order the link from any old AD.

Buy this and do it yourself or they'll scratch it up for you. 1.3 mm tip for jubilee.

Why would they care?

I truly don't understand your concerns.

Because I can go to the RSC myself and they will get it to me faster (perhaps 1 day I was told) whereas I have read dozens of posts here of people waiting forever for links.

I brought a watch in just to ask them a question about my warranty date and they took it in the back and added oil unprompted.

New RSC approach to me. Thanks.

I'm no expert, but I don't think they just "add oil". it's not like a Ford.

To lubricate properly they need to dismantle the movement, clean, then lubricate the many touch points with a variety of viscosities.

I'm guessing they just dipped yours into a jam jar of WD40 and gave it a quick wipe knowing you'd be back soon and then they could really punish you for not having that warranty card :)

You wait, in 20 or 30 years it'll need a proper service and then you'll be sorry

1) they don't care if it's nos or not, so long as it's a genuine Rolex timepiece.

2) if it's running fine, I'd leave it. You might want to consider doing a service if you plan on owning and wearing it for the long haul.

Ps - I have one too; white dial, baton markers, roulette datewheel - and it's a keeper for sure :)

Given that it comes with green chronometer tag signifying the shift to 5 year warranty and Rolex moving towards saying you only need to service roughly every 10 years, does that mean I can still wait that time? Or does the fact that the watch hasn't been worn for anywhere form 3-6 years reduce the interval through which it should be serviced?

Love the white dial with roulette wheel! Such a clean combination with just the right touch of flare.
