Question re: RSC NYC & bracelet sizing

A family member of mine just ordered a Datejust from an online grey, but the bracelet needs to have a couple of links removed. Does anyone know if RSC will size a Rolex bracelet obtained from a grey dealer or is he likely to get questions about the source of the model, etc?

Thanks in advance!

They should provide the help regardless as it’s their product

Yes they will. You can also take it to Wempe which is basically across the street. They did an excellent job for me in this exact situation and I am sure its much faster than RSC since RSC is still taking appointments over walk in (you can walk in, but theres a wait).

RSC will re-size it. No problem. They’ll also verify the watch for authenticity.

I walked in a few months ago to do the same thing. Waited about 15 minutes. Nice and quiet office to wait in as it’s off the street. Would recommend.

Buy a kit for $10 on Amazon, you can learn to re-size in a short 5 minute youtube video

wempe would be much simpler if you don't wanna also have them verify the authenticity. i went there multiple times to size watches that weren't bought there. they have a dedicated group of people that service watches and they'll do it clean and fast for you with no worries about messing up the links. in and out in 10 mins

I've had a few watches sized at RSCNY and they never asked where I purchased them.

Just go to your local AD. They should be able to size it for you without any issues regardless if you purchased it there or not

Just take it to the Rolex Boutique on 5th Ave to get it sized - same building as RSC

They should do it.

But I would expect they will use the same craftsman screwdriver, also used in double duty to pry boulders.

Don’t expect the screw heads to look like they did when you brought them in.

Just one mans experience.
