It’s 40.5mm, rounding errors. It’s the same size as before to the naked eye. Don’t worry.

I tried it on recently and will agree it feels smaller than the 40mm. However, the bracelet and clasp are imo noticeably thicker which for my small wrists was immediately uncomfortable. Shame because the new size looks great and the proportions are excellent.

Exactly. So then how overall does it feel smaller? You mean looking at the watch head only right?

Yes, watch head itself definitely has a smaller and flatter look, most likely because of the thinner lugs making it look more like 5 digit proportions. From head on it looks much more compact, it’s just much wider around the sides/bottom of the wrist.

The new design doesn't feel any bigger than the old one. The PM clasp and bracelet feels like it's a better weight balance with the watch head. Tends to stay put better than 116610 did.

Agree but let’s drill down on this because I think we’re giving incomplete information here. Does the watch head feel smaller and thinner? Yes. Does the overall watch feel more balanced? Yes. But does the watch feel BIGGER around the wrist and behind it at clasp. Yes too!

This video goes over the size changes and it’s negligible
