Yup. I've tried to cover the bracelets and just look at faces side by side on that first pic, but it's hard since the two aren't lined up exactly.

The other thing I hadn't thought about before, but am now, and I think is an illusion, is the effect of bezel style. The OP's domed bezel makes it look narrower as compared to the Explorer's more angularly sloped bezel. That, too, makes OP face look larger (IMO). This, of course, assumes that the OP's bezel isn't actually narrower.

Wow, that white dial DJ...

I'm trying to find my everyday wear... either a Datejust or Explorer (was after the 39mm until it got discontinued, same for the white dial OP39 ).

For the Datejust, I'd have a hard time choosing white or black (or silver)... Maybe white would be the answer for the illusion of wearing slightly bigger. How does the white compare to the discontinued white OP? I have seen and tried on the white dial OP and declined to buy at the time... a mistake, but was looking for the Explorer at the time...

BTW, nice SM7(?) in the background. I have a small collection including the SM3, SM4, and SM9.
