15038 18k Date

Found this 15th anniversary gift for the little lady. 34mm, 18k, and has a Buick logo engraved on the back because it was some guy's sales quota reward back in the 80s.

Despite the small size, I think it wears well on my 6.75" wrist, though it's moot since I'll be sizing the bracelet for her. Could inspire me to get a 114200 OP for myself sometime though since I do like the size.

Very under-rated reference! I love these! They have a terrific presence without being 40mm of in-yo'-face yellow gold. Congratulations!

Thanks all. Have been overall really happy with the watch as I've worn it myself in my home office during the day (although still another 5-6 weeks before I give it as a gift).

One criticism, and it won't be a big surprised: The bracelet. It feels pretty cheap and fragile. I know some repair work has already been done to it, and even though there's relatively little stretch, and it feels pretty good to wear once it's already on, the clasp and links don't feel anything like a modern bracelet.

Whatcha gonna do though?

I just got a 34mm OP 6565 (1958) and I absolutely love the size as a dress watch!

I hope your wife enjoys the gift! We just celebrated 15yrs here too, congrats!!!!
