Vintage Rolex Oyster Precision

Hi!
Can any help me with an vintage Rolex Oyster?
I’m interested in year, type and any other helpful information.
It’s my grandfather’s. not used since at least 1975 but still running nicely when
winded.

Nice watch and heirloom. You should get it serviced (oils are no good now) and polish or replace the crystal.

I’d say the hands have been relumed at some point, and obviously the lume plots on the dial are long gone. If it were mine, I wouldn’t do anything to change either of those things, and wear it as is (except for the service and the crystal).

If there are numbers between the lugs or on the back, please show them.

Hi, thank you for your hint.
I couldn’t see the numbers at first but 6084 and 94517x.
Possible 1953-1954?
Best regards

Hi, it seems to be a rare dial.
I haven’t seen this diamond shape markings on any dial.
It’s a 6084 with serial/ case 94517x.

Thanks, my thoughts also.
But maybe a new glass and save the old or is it stupid to change?
It has been in a box in a drawer since 1979.

Nice piece. A polished/new crystal and that would look amazing (polished would be preferable if it ill take it)

The date sounds right. 6084 is the reference number.
