The New TT Gmt2 Is Gorgeous In Person!!!

I dont have pics but when I was at Damianis today I saw for the first time in person a new TT GMT2 and my jaw dropped. I love the new clasp (better than the 116520) love how think the case is, it makes the SD seem a bit anorexic

So everyone in the GTA go check it out at Damianis.

PS. Does anyone here have one yet?

Hi Roger,

Curious..what was your impression of the weight of the watch? I had the oppertunity to play with the all gold model the other day, and my first thought was --this thing weighs a ton. LOL!
My first reaction was roughy the weight of a Planet Ocean.

The case is thick! At first I thought to thick, but on the wrist it really seemed to fit nice.
I loved the new triplock crown and the bigger lugs blended very well . I did think the bracelet and clasp were just supurb.
I would say the thing that really got my attention was the new ceramic bezel.
Smooth precise clicks with the numeral alignment just perfect!!

The one I played with was the green dial and to be honest--Blah!! The black dial is just beautifull.

I've stopped & had a chat to a guy wearing the all-gold with the green dial, and even it is impressive. I saw it from a couple of meters away and it was very distinctive. It seemed to sit quite nicely on the wrist, and it looked a lot 'fatter', and mike was right, the new bezel is rather nice!
Personally I would go for the black dial version too.

Hi Roger;
I think the TT black dial is a knock out! Do you, or anyone else for that matter, have a model number on this beauty yet? How about pricing? If you don't have this info a phone number via PM for Damiani's, or another AD and I'll be happy to telephone and find out myself.

If you lovely people are seeing this up north, appearances should be soon down in the States. All good things rolls down hill, right?

Is there another colour dial on the TT? I thought the green dial wwas only avail on the all gold model. In any case the one I saw is the one pictured above. It is one hot watch, the bezel is awesome, I am really in love and think this will be my next one.

As some of you guys may know the month I got my Daytona I had just moved into my new place, bought all new furniture and also was sumping insane amounts of money into my new business. In order to buy the daytona (which I got only 8 months after I ordered it) I had to get rid of my 16710, so I have been aching to replace it and I think this new 116713 is what I will replace it with either at Christmas or for my B-day in Feb.

This is one hot watch, I love everything about it even the green parts that I have not really liked on other new Rolexes.

I saw one at Mansor's the other day. Beautiful, no doubt!! The ceramic bezel is a cracker as is the new clasp and all solid link bracelet.

However....however....did place it next to the TT BLUE SUB....hmmmm....sorry, guys.....the BLUE of the Sub just about sent the BLACK of the GMT-II into the stratosphere.

Man that NEW BLUE on the TT Sub is something else!!

Now this makes me wonder what the 116613 will look like once it arrives in 2015?? The clasp on the new bracelet is what impresses me most on the 116713, the flip lock is like the Daytona, but it has an added "click" release on it that makes it that much better.

I cant wait till one day the SD has the new case, its monsterous. I LOVE IT!!!

To all those waiting for a real wrist shot of the new TT-GMT, here you go. Belongs to my good friend from England, Charles. I'm still waiting for my AD to get mine in. Doesn't it look awesome?

I tried one on in Tokyo Wednesday night and ...

it was absolutely a pleasure to wear. I immediately had visions of selling my TT Daytona and picking up the GMT II. The solid bracelet, the seemingly larger case and lugs, the prominent and distinctive bezel (sorry, JJ, to me the black bezel and dial rule), the new clasp, the green (in small doses) accents, and the maxi dial just make it a must have. My only dilemma is whether to sell one watch and go for the TT, or two watches and go for the gold. It was selling at 829,000 yen (roughly $7300 USD) (I saw it at 815,000 yen today).

Case thickness

Hi Friends

I aso saw the old gold model. I got the distinct impression that the new case of this gmt is thicker then all other sport rollies , even the seadweller. Am i correct in this assumption? The lugs (sides) looked thicker then the sd also...

Hi, A friend is trying to buy this 116713, but it seems difficult to get. He tried for it in HK & Rome but in vain. Anyone knows where it is readily available.

I don't understand the model numbers. The subject GMT is being referred to as 116713--I see it elsewhere as 16713. What is the difference? I am sure this is a dumb question.

16713 is the reference of the old GMT II TT with the standard dial and 3185 movement.
The new reference 116713 is the new TT with the maxi-dial,3186 movement etc.. Rolex has a 1 to the reference number.

All the new models with the newer broader cases and new bracelets have an extra '1' added in front of the previous model number.

Not sure if it's rare, Mike...but the DEMAND is most certainly outstripping the SUPPLY.

My AD got in two - one after the other - and both went out the door the very next day!! The all gold one is still sitting around waiting for some poor little rich guy!

the gold one with the green face a little too much for me....i think that one is way too blingy! you would have to walk around with to be safe.
