How to store Rolex watch each night

I rest any watch on a squared piece of leather that has a brushed finish, it’s like 10”x10”, I do this to avoid any scratches on the sides of the case and I normally rest crown up or down.

Myself have had a specially made Rolex bed made from the finest materials known to man,it's lined with the finest silk and specially padded with the finest softest Pashmina as not to scratch the extremely delicate 904L SS, now called oystersteel.Plus it has a built in winder to gently rock your Rolex watch to sleep and keep its heart ticking at a constant 28800 BPH. Plus the added feature of thermostatically heat humidity and air conditioned controlled to the COSC standard. As Rolex watches are very delicate and need extreme pampering if not they will self destruct .Its fully Programmed to lull Rolex watches to sleep when off wrist, with soothing ticking and whale sounds to help it drift into a place of peace and Rolex tranquillity.

Afraid the Rolex bed is at the moment a very secret prototype but will be taking orders soon once I have it it full production price expected to be $500 -$800 owing to winder expense as these winders are very special COSC certified motor ones..

But in the real world a Rolex is just a watch and does not care how the watch is left to rest off wrist flat,downside up, crown up or downsideup or the need for a special resting cloth or special boxes when at home.Rolex watches are made from one of the toughest materials known to man and dont need any sort of pampering.

Same here. When I'm not wearing it it goes in the box. If I'm going to be wearing it I set it on a polishing cloth dial up overnight..

Are the whale sounds from the northern lattitudes? My Rolex finds the southern ocean whale sounds a bit grating.

I keep all my watches at home in the safe. Even if I know I'm wearing the same watch tomorrow, I always put back in the safe each night. It's a good habit to ensure security.

When going on holiday, I use a three-watch Peli case from The Case Farm. I like knowing the watches are safe when being moved about. Case then goes in the hotel safe. Pics below.

Same issue. Don’t feel the need of a huge box to store 2 of my watches. Am siding towards a holder instead.
I’m currently looking at thewatchstand .com

But am skeptical about the price point for just a holder. Any thoughts? Or other recommendations?

I recall being asked these questions - I think it must have been in the 1980s, perhaps the 90s, but I can’t be sure. Although I’ve had watches serviced by Rolex quite a few times, I think this was the only occasion for me - I has a watch serviced about 18 months ago, and I wasn’t asked then.

Now that I think about it, I’ve taken in a watch for regulation (‘over the counter’) at Rolex St James, and also at Bexley, when they were based there. The question wasn’t asked on any of those occasions either.

Since mine are the tougher tool watches, they usually are with me or in the safe next to a Walther PPK and a Colt 1911.
If out of the safe, they are still close to a 1911 of some vintage...
