Own both - very different watches. Daytona is beautiful and solid, however Patek is mesmerizing and looks incredibly more elegant imho. Also, the 5712 is much more thinner and delicate on the wrist compared to the Daytona. And yeah, I wouldn't let go of either - both are super gorgeous in their own ways.

Thanks gents. I wish I was in the position to keep both, but can't + I'm really a one watch guy. Once I saw the 5712a in person, platona was getting moved! Feels a lot lighter, and far more refined/elegant. Less robust for sure.[/QUOTE]
If you are a one watch guy then definitely 5712 is the one to have. |

This is right. It is amazing how it feels on the wrist. It is more comfortable than 5167 and VCO on rubber bracelet. It will be so hard to rotate my other watches now. |
