New Seamaster 300!

Its been almost a year since I moved to Korea as an expat and I wanted to pick up something special for myself. I went to the Shinsegae mall in Seoul with my mind set on picking up a diver (I have been looking for one since I sold my 5513 Sub last year), specifically a blue dial one. I was hoping the Tudor boutique would have the Pelagos FXD...but it wasn't to be. I did put myself on a list for when they get their next shipment (the associate said hopefully in Jan).
I really was tempted by the blue dial black bays...but they just didnt click with me.
Then I walked into the Omega boutique...and they had this in the display case. They had just gotten it in a few days prior and was the only one they had. I almost bought one a few years ago when they were first released but never followed through. I tried it on and ended up buying it on the spot. Love the sandwich dial. And the reduced lettering makes the dial look much cleaner. I am not sure about discounts given on Omegas these days...I was able to get about 8.5% off, which I thought was pretty good, especially given that I barely speak Korean!
Now I am on the hunt for the perfect replacement strap. While the bracelet is one of the more comfortable ones Ive tried, I am not a fan of metal bracelets.
Anyhow, very happy with this pick up and hope to enjoy it for years to come!

Congrats, beautiful piece.
Enjoy if in good health.

I miss the expat life in Korea.... (and the acquisitions that come with it)

The main branch, in Myeong-dong.
I see that you are in Korea as well?

Yes sir. How was the customer service at that branch? The young lady who worked there was not very friendly last time I visited.

Cool Omega!

I have seen photos of that watch on a Tropic strap in Navy, and it looked perfect to me

Very nice pickup, and the best seamaster for wearing on straps imo

Congrats!

I love switching to a strap every now and then on mine.

The person I dealt with was a young guy. He was super nice and enthusiastic. There was a young woman there as well but she was helping someone else.

Congrats, great watch!

I love Korea, we go at least once a year (in normal times). I’m jealous that you live there. Enjoy the beautiful country and the beautiful watch!

Congratulations! Any reason you didn't get an omega strap while you were at the boutique?

I wanted to get a nato while there. But they didnt have the color I wanted. Plus I was thinking about getting an Erika's Original strap and I ended up ordering one today.
