Can you guys help me identify this model ?

I believe its a variant of the 'Bombe' style.

Its my great grandfathers watch and looking to see if I can get more information on it.

Closest thing I've found so far as been the
Bombe style:

Thanks for any help !

Probably from the early-50's..

Take off the bracelet and underneath will be the serial number on one side, and the model number on the other side.. These will be invaluable ...

Those style of markers and hands were used in a few models.... The "Officially Certified Chronometer" would slide it back to possibly '50-52.... Date could be stamped inside the case-back on this one..

thank you
:)

... its sad I never thought about checking the serials haha.

Do you know if its possible for such an old dial to be touched up?

I've seen it done on an old explorer however, as you know the dial on that is a lot different and the touch up was done to the lume and the likes..
where as this I'd like to keep the look however maybe polish it up internally a little.

Thanks again for helping me date it.

i also think its early 50's dont touch the dial, you will devalue the watch. you also have a rare early braclet that was a factory option for that watch, nice piece. wear in good health.

best regards

Beautiful dial! That might be pre-50s, or early 50s. I'm thinking that's been in a drawer for the last few decades.
