Just go Grey and get what you want. Who has time to wait. AD is basically retail worker. Or a car salesman. I am not kissing their ass for any reason.

Nope. You wouldn't know it by lurking around here but Rolex isn't the be all end all brand. Not to me anyway.

If you know that buying x watch will get you what you want and you don’t lose much in the process, say 1-2k then go for it… as long as you are sure those are the rules your AD plays by… I would not in the HOPES of getting a hot model…

buying a datejust 41 isn't gonna get you on any list, especially today when they're allocation pieces themselves

Going secondary would probably be less costly/hassle. It's weird how ADs want to sell things to people that don't want them tbh. Clearly they only care about top line. Offering to buy anything until the AD deems sufficient to qualify for the Sub you came in for. No thanks.
