BB58 Bracelet Sizing - AD Issue

Had to return previously purchased BB58 to AD due to stripped screws when the bracelet was sized. Per the AD, a salesperson sized the watch (not the watchmaker) which explains it.

AD replaced the watch (for free) and I have the option to come in when the watchmaker is in so he/she can size it.

Should I return to the same AD or have a different AD size it?

I am also incorporating the half-link by Uncle Seiko and not sure if the previous AD will be open to incorporating it.

Why on earth would a different AD do you any favours? Just get the right sized screwdriver, some Locktite, and DIY.

I am not expecting favors from a different AD - I do not mind paying for having the bracelet sized. With that being said, what size should I utilize? And how do I apply the loctite?

I don't have a BB58 but it's a 1.4mm screwdriver from what I read.

Very small dab of Locktite on the thread. I use a wood toothpick.

They all have red bottles but purple or blue Locktite only, go with purple 222, red Locktite is permanent.

I think given the fact they have gone to the effort of replacing the watch, there is a very strong chance they will get it right the second time, via their watchmaker.

Let them do it.

This is the route I would go and it's not hard to do. Some-ham fisted AD sizing my watch.. pass.

Would do it yourself … and contrary to others , I’ve never used loctite (and I have sized a bunch of my own Rolex and Tudor) and have never had in issue in 10 years

AD’s watchmaker sized it - truly a night and day difference, very pleased.

Or just DIY next time and save yourself the headache.
Mid you can operate a screwdriver, you can size your own bracelet.

1.6 flat plane screwdriver. They are supplied with Panerai, which is where I got mine.

I’ve been sizing my own watches for +3 decades and have never used loctite, and never had an issue.
