Skydweller dial swap
Would the RSC be able/willing to do a dial swap from the 326935 roman dial to the new rhodium stick dial?
Also any idea how much that could cost? |

I’ve heard mixed stories on the ability to change dials. Some say it’s easy and claim they’ve done it. Some say Rolex won’t do it.
I’d be interested to read qualified opinions from others who have actually done it too OP.

Call the RSC and ask what is the current policy. The 326935 is still production so to me I wouldn't see why changing the dial would be disallowed but Rolex is Rolex and the current policy may be like for like.

Not saying the dial won't fit but a dial swap won't make it the same as the new model so doubt RSC will entertain that request. As others have said, ask RSC. |

In Europe, some SkyD dials are possible to change and some dials are restricted. If it is a change between "generations" I'm not sure it's possible or not. Last time I checked, I seem to remember it is a costly change vs. gmt/sub etc.

I asked the UK RSC by email and got a reply within two hours. So I'm guessing it's an easy answer to get from Rolex without conjecture.
In my case it was swapping a SS black dial to a SS blue dial, so not applicable to the OP's specific requirements. |

I have seen several versions of this questioned asked, but have not seen a definitive response. IMHO, it has to be expensive and require a surrender of your current dial and any other parts (hands?). Also, grass is always greener on the other side, make sure you really are committed to whatever color you want, nothing worst than going through the hassle to convert and find out that the original color wasn't so bad after all.

Are you sure about the case shape and lugs? Any documentation on that?

The original 2012 PM models had 21mm lug spacing. Changed to 22mm across all models when steel ones introduced. Rolex didn’t just take a half mil off each lug, they’re different cases. In the context of the OPs query I think this would exclude a dial swap if it’s only available in the newer case models. |

As said by others in general possible within dials available for the given model and year of said watch. Know of people that have done it with DD40 (friend did it from silver to green on a WG) and have done it with Tudor with DD’s myself.

Last time I checked, Rolex here in the UK would not swap my Oyster bracelet for the Jubilee on my SS Sky Dweller. I can understand why as it would make the watch look newer than it is.

The 326935 remained the same reference number. Two different cases for the same number doesn’t make sense and is nothing like Rolex has ever done.

We'll find out when the OP phones RSC and asks.

A trade would be easier and cheaper if Rolex says no. There’s very likely a baton dial owner looking for a Roman.
