IWC Ingenieur Chronograph
A month ago I order IWC Ingenieur Chronograph (IW380802) from my AD where I buy all my other watches. He doesn't have it in store, so he ordered from IWC. Anyone know what is approximate ETA for this watch? Picture for reference:

If it hasn’t come in within a month there is a chance this piece gets a refresh for Watches and Wonders 22. I have nothing to base that on other than a previous order from IWC that came in like 2 days. Personally, I hope it does get a new movement, this watch is on my short list. Likey

It is due for a movement upgrade, I wouldn’t be surprised if Easy E is right.

Ingenieur and Aquatimer lines are due for new movements and possible re-designs. IWC has done a little too much to its Pilot and Portuguese lines (which to be fair is where they make the lion's share of their money), but to the detriment of their other offerings. In fact, my AD ONLY stocks their Pilot and Portuguese watches in house. Everything else you need to order or request to get.
I always found this unusual as the Ingenieur and Aquatimer lines have a very broad appeal. I just think maybe their competition is very stiff. I strongly suspect a big marketing push on these two lines with an emphasis on in house movements and their quick change strap system (which the Aquatimer has had for some time). |

Nop. Funny you asked. I spoke with my AD yesterday, who specialized in IWC and he said he can't source this watch from IWC. I think they redesign the watch and it'll be a new model this month. So, I think I'm getting a new one.
